New Year with new ideas...
So it's 2012 already! Now I say this every year but really where did the last year go to? It does mean however that I have officially been a member of the WWI for one whole year and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of it. In November I was delighted to be asked to become the Events and Fundraising Officer and I do hope that I will be able to rise to the challenge and make a valuable contribution to such a great group of women.
We had a good start by entering AND completing the 5k Santa Run in Greenwich Park in December. Many thanks to my fellow Santas, Catherine, Jude, and Claire for taking part with me and raising an amazing £265 towards the WWI's chosen charity Wandsworth Women's Aid. A huge thank you to everyone who gave us money.
As well as the annual delight of the bake sales this year, it would be fantastic to arrange some other events we could all take part in so I promise to put my thinking cap on and try and come up with some good ideas to put to the group.
In the meantime, I am very much looking forward to Tuesday's meeting where we will be exploring the Alexander Technique... Hope to see you there...
